How to Recover From Google Penguin

Google Penguin was launch on May 22, 2019. Just few days after its launched, a lot of websites’ ranking position based on keywords were affected; some of sites were being rearrange proper position for the keywords, which is so called “Google Dance”, others were being severely punished, and few of them even face de-indexed.

So what is this Google Penguin 2.0? Is it good or bad? If your website has unique content, well written and do not have spamming links, the chances are you really don’t need to worry about it, the update can only benefit you, because this updated will eliminate few of your top competitors. On the other hand, if your site has duplicate contents, especially if you used auto post, then your site will likely got de-indexed. You should never using auto post software or script to auto post your money site. Google is way smarter than you think.

If your site got punished, the first thing you should look for is your site’s content; you need to make sure your site doesn’t contain any duplicate posts/pages. Remove them right away if you have any. Most people think optimization is good, but not in Google Penguin’s eyes. Over-optimization can be as bad as duplicate content, because you are simply finding a way to trick Google’s algorithm, which Big G doesn’t like. So check your website content, make sure you don’t have repeated keywords, bold, underline, and stuffs like that to fool Google. You will need to remove them immediately if you have any.

Another thing that most webmasters tend to do is using pay links. Again, this is just a sneaky way to trick Google, and Google penguin doesn’t like that, you should definitely avoid them.

So is SEO linking dead? The answer is no, SEO is still alive; you just have to do it the natural way. That same goes with the Anchor text links, they should also be natural. You can’t do only one anchor links on all of your SEO campaign.

Google Penguin 2.0 sounds like web 2.0; as a matter of fact, both are related. As more and more people are utilizing social sharing site. Google also implement this system into its ranking factors. Implement Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Google + are important, especially when you have good content and people like to share your content; Google tends to believe that your content is good and interesting, and makes it worthwhile for it to be ranked higher.

Other things that you should be avoiding are comment spamming; not only does Google not like it, most website owners do not like it either. Especially when you make irrelevant comment to the posts/page, this can only do harm to your site. Duplicate article marketing is not good either, as well as paid backlinks.

Finally, to recover from Penguin 2.0, you need to add more unique content, and as old saying goes, content is the king, it is indeed true. If you have a lot of unique content, you don’t really need to worry about any Google update. The chances are Google are helping you to eliminate all of your competitors in your niche area.
